The Tour
The 2026 tour is the 13th edition of the Cape Breton Fall Colors tour around the entire Cabot Trail. I keep going back not only because it’s beautiful. I keep going back because it’s part of who I am. It truly is an incredible place to explore, especially with your Camera.
A Great inventor is known for comparing the Cape Breton Highlands to other famous mountain ranges around the World:
“I have travelled the globe. I have seen the Canadian and American Rockies, the Andes and the Alps and the highlands of Scotland, but for simply beauty, Cape Breton outrivals them all.”
– Alexander Graham Bell
… and I concur Mr. Bell.

I grew up in Nova Scotia spending my Summers on the Western reaches of the Cabot Trail in Cheticamp, NS where…
I’m related to half of the town. And, that’s not an understatement!
I now live in beautiful Banff, AB and return to Nova Scotia each Fall to visit Family and to photograph the incredible landscapes found there. I know the area the Cabot trail travels through very, very well.
I’ve explored every corner of Northwestern Cape Breton Island as a curious teenager with a car at his disposal. I’ve even ridden my bicycle around the 185 mile, 298km, Cabot Trail twice on a 3 day bicycle trip. And, I’m still exploring it 30 years later as a veteran Pro Photographer.
Honestly, you won’t find a better person suited to guide you with your camera in the area.
